THIS IS NO LONGER FUNCTIONAL!
A little project I have been working on. Some assembly required.
Project: Scans the PokemonGoMap’s found pokemon database and then sends a text with location coordinates to your cell phone based on allowed list of pokemon.
For example: Leave PokemonGoMap and PokeAlert running while at work and get alerted on your phone when there is a Charizard is outside!
You will need to configure at least the following variables in pokealerts.ps1.
- $Database = “C:\path\to\pogom.db”
- $toUser = “email@example.com”
- $fromUser = “firstname.lastname@example.org”
Edit allowedID.csv with notepad and remove any pokemon that you do not want an alert for.
I setup this to just use GMAIL but someone can easily modify the script to use another SMTP server if they want. Just not anything I care to do right now. (Gmail Relay limit of messages is 500 per day I believe, so make your allowed list small.) When you launch the PS script it will prompt you to enter your gmail Creds to send messages.
Finally, open powershell to your extracted directory and launch the pokealert.ps1
Then sit back and enjoy the new Pokemans!
Thanks for watching!
**NOT AFFILIATED IN ANYWAY WITH POKEMONGOMAP.**
